Sergio Mendoza Reyes was an Austin-based reporting fellow at the Tribune, sponsored by the U.S. State Department through the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). He is an investigative journalist in La Paz, Bolivia, specializing in economy and environment coverage. He has worked as a reporter and editor in national newspapers for more than 10 years and has earned the National Chronicle Award and the Recognition of Press Freedom. Sergio is co-founder and journalist at the digital media outlet La Nube, a freelancer for Bloomberg and is fluent in Spanish.
